So she walked to the woods
And deep in the forest
Let out a soul piercing wail
The ground shook
Trees swayed
And little creatures
Popped out of their Burrows
Nodded “you’ll be ok”
And just then the wind picked up
Howling through the birch tops
Strong fierce gusts
Speaking what was in her soul
And the clouds opened
And the rains fell
Torrential downpours
Stopping to trickle
Down her salty cheek
Resting on her quivering lips
Before washing the ground
Beneath her
